Hi there!

My name is James, and welcome to my one-of-a-kind food blog! My mission is simple: to find and review the world’s most traditional dishes, but outside their country of origin.

I’m talking a Full English Breakfast in Greece, Peking Duck in Brazil, Falafel in Japan… you get the idea!

Crucially, the dish must be found in a place that does not necessarily specialise in that country’s cuisine. Reviewing a Margherita in the local Italian doesn’t count. I’m looking for an authentic Shakshuka in an English Pub, for example.

It’s all about celebrating the diversity of international food culture, admiring the often surprising quality found in the unlikeliest of places, and respecting the age-old techniques unique to each dish.

In short, I’m finding the best tributes to the traditional dishes of each country!
